I have a really vague recollection of shock and horror when I found out the horrible truth that Vader was Luke's father, but unfortunately that's as much as my memory will give me. Alas. However I this dad had the genius idea of filming his kid just as he finds out - and it's classic.
Pay attention to the son only, apparently the daughter already knew the secret and was just playing along, and it's obvious.
My analysis - the 4-year-old's brain is blown, looks at his dad in shock and amazement, and for confirmation. I love this shot from 0:11 - pure shock and disbelief.
My theory (to rebuff those that cry fakery, because I like the world better if its real) is that he realizes he's being filmed for just this moment and reacts a little to that too by smiling while his mouth is agape, like any kid would. But I love that he then seems to move right on back to the movie and the horrible father-son reality just keeps setting in….and that's when his face kills me, right around 0:18. So funny.
If anything, this has solidified my belief that all children deserve to be introduced to Star Wars this way, in the proper order - IV, VI, I, II, II. I'm sure it's possible somehow! To my brother - I have faith in you.

I saw this and was very excited for 3-5 years from now. It will be tricky, but will stop at nothing which may include never letting him have a single friend or step outside our house until he has watched and learned. But he has to be ready so it could be a while.
Side note: watch People vs. George Lucas...stellar.
Hahaha...so great!
I feel left out if I don't comment....so my brilliant comment is this....that was awesome!
